Hahas. Finally back to civilisation. Lol. I went for YLTC (Youth Leader Training Camp) in Kluang, Malaysia. The campsite is quite wuuluu so we all say there no civilisation. Hahas.
5 days YLTC camp in Kluang,malaysia is definitely memorable because of the activities and the people there, especially SEMANGAT!!! They are all so friendly and working really well even though we only know one another for like 5 days. It was really a great camp. Though there are some unhappy things about the camp too. But overall, the camp was superb =D
Day 1, 02/06/08
Woke up at 5 am just to pack my bag coz the previous day was having class outing and went home super late. Anyway, went to school to report by 7am and then did a stupid bag check. Luckily not like elects camp. I still remember how we did the stupid bag check during elects camp. "30 seconds to take your shirts out" was like the thing we did back in elects camp and like all our clothes are at the bottom. Hahas. The bag check for this camp gives up ample time to take out and slowly pack everything inside. Then took bus to Malaysia liao lor =D Bus ride was quite boring. Coz molina whom we always laughed at sat far away from us. Then ziyi got knocked out like real quick. So we slept tgt. Hahas. Sounds wrong. Anyway, the trip is boring and stuffs lar. We reached at about the afternoon. Went to lunch and it started raining. So we got splitted up to learn different things. 1 group went for navigation, 1 group went to knots course and 1 group went to pitch tent =D
I went to learn the knots for river-crossing. It is super easy and like i took less than 5 mins to learn the knots while other are struggling. Hahas. Then we put out things in the tent and stuffs and then went for nightwalk at night. I went with yue xi. It was super hilarious lar. They told us there is this path to follow whereby there is no path at all. Yue Xi and i were like "are we on the right path?", "there is not path wat?", "scared anot?" The walk is not scary but rather stupid. Haha. It ended so quickly that before we want to be afraid, it was over. Lol.
Some stupid things during the nightwalk. People shouting "tree branches" whereby there is only a branch. Then got people shout "bend down" then the message got pass down so quickly that everyone bent down and they are not even at the area that they need to bend down. And one more, people shout "puddle" then the next pair just step right into it. Haha.
Then went back to wash up =D a very slack day =D
Day 2, 03/06/08
Rise and shine of course. Some ppl in my tent just like to wake ppl up. He woke up at 5.40 and was making quite some noise. Couldnt really sleep after that. Hahas. Then kinda woke up liao. Then did area cleaning. Guys' toilet is like super disgusting. But after going over to the girl's toilet to help clear the choked drain, i found out that guys are so much cleaner. LOL!!!
Anyway, first activity is rafting. Jo-lin is in my group then the both of us or rather the whole half of semangat was helping to build the raft. TEAMWORK ROCKS!!! Our raft is like good lar =D
Then had navigation in the afternoon but the rain was so heavy that the instructors dun allow us to do the activity. Then we went to the shelter and slacked. Stupid lar. Played some lame games and i kena forfeit. Did 7 wonders with maxine and mervyn. So unlucky lor. Then molina and dian feng didnt get to do forfeit. Cheater !!!
Then had some leadership talk in the night and most of us almost fell asleep. Hahas. But i didnt sleep k =D Was straining my eye to keep them open =D
Day 3, 04/06/08
Rise and shine again. Area cleaning as usual. It was the girls toilet and due to the rain. The toilet is in super bad condition. It is like SHIT. And i mean it. Coz all the flying ant died in the toilet. The guy's toilet sink is even worse. Half of the sink is filled with dead flying ants.
Then we chiong all the activities today. Did canoeing in the morning and then river-crossing and then navigation. Quite busy day. Really nothing much to update about. Lol. Coz it is hard to describe especially if u are not there. Ask me next time when you see me lar. Then maybe i can give a better picture of it =D
Day 4, 05/06/08
Mountain climbing today. Was very easy i think. Then went for city trail. Went around the city and the city is actually quite nice. As compared to what i had in mind lar. Hahas. Very bad image. Went to a hotel and the toilet is like super clean. Many of my group ppl went in and spent like 5 - 10mins inside. Hahas.
Then went around buying things and stuffs. Then night rained again and no activity. Then after tt, didnt sleep. Chatted with ppl the whole night =D
Day 5, 06/06/08
Stupid PT thing and stuffs. Ran and rolled in mud and stuffs. MY TEAM NJ SHIRT. GOD DAMN THEM. Okay, i shall chill. Not gonna be tt vulgar here. Hahas.
Actually, that's about all bah. I bet u all will like read the 1st 2 sentences of each day nia. Hahas. Really too boring for u all if u not there.
